Façade Replacement & Addition Works for Existing Shopping Mall and Office Buildings

BES has been engaged for the façade design and engineering of The Atrium @ Orchard—a prominent mixed-use development in Singapore comprising an operational shopping mall and adjoining office towers.

Scope of Work:

BES provided comprehensive façade consultancy services from design to completion, including:

• Detailed façade design and engineering
• BIM integration for façade construction
• Architectural steel works design and detailing

Project Overview:

The assignment involved replacement and addition of façades across two adjacent existing buildings, including link bridges, walkways, and large steel canopy structures. The BES team conducted detailed site surveys and developed customized steel design solutions suited to the constraints of the existing structure and live-site conditions.

Key Challenges & Solutions:

Working within a fully operational shopping mall and high-traffic pedestrian area, the project demanded precise modular design and logistics-driven installation planning. BES developed modular steel systems and pre-fabricated façade units, enabling rapid on-site assembly with minimal disruption to the public.
