Lodha Altamount, Mumbai

Lodha Altamount, Mumbai is a 240 m tall luxury high-rise residential tower in Mumbai, located on Altamount Road, and represents a benchmark in façade engineering and high-rise residential development in Mumbai. Designed as an iconic structure, the project features a distinctive architectural form with high-performance façade systems, integrated shading elements, and a robust building envelope design suited to Mumbai’s coastal climate. BES Consultants delivered the complete façade engineering scope, including detailed 3D façade modelling, working closely with architect Hadi Teherani to ensure a balance of design intent, performance, and constructability.

A key highlight is the complex crown structure with sharp-edged, slim profiles, engineered to withstand high wind loads while maintaining a refined aesthetic. The tower incorporates unitized curtain wall systems with high-performance glazing for energy efficiency, along with point-fixed glass railing systems that enhance transparency by concealing structural elements. Operable windows across residential units ensure natural ventilation, improving occupant comfort in this high-rise residential building in Mumbai.

Engineered to address challenges such as wind pressure, monsoon conditions, and coastal exposure, the façade system ensures durability, air and water tightness, and long-term performance. The use of a unitized façade system also enabled efficient installation in a dense urban setting. Overall, Lodha Altamount stands as a strong example of advanced façade engineering, combining aesthetics, performance, and sustainability in a landmark luxury high-rise residential project in Mumbai.
